Λίγα λόγια για τον καλλιτέχνη
Ο Αβραάμ Κ. Γούναρης γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 1969. Ξεκίνησε να φωτογραφίζει με τη Nikon F2A Photomic του πατέρα του σε ηλικία 11 χρόνων και δε σταμάτησε ποτέ από τότε.
Από το 1985 μέχρι το 1991 έζησε στη δυτική ακτή των ΗΠΑ όπου σπούδασε χρηματοοικονομικά και είχε την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσει σεμινάρια φωτογραφίας τόσο στην Καλιφόρνια όσο και στη Νεβάδα. Η φωτογραφική του εκπαίδευση συνεχίστηκε στην Αθήνα, όπου ζει από το 1998, μέσω σεμιναρίων του Φωτογραφικού Κύκλου.
Μέσα από πολύ διάβασμα και παρατήρηση και μετά από εκατομμύρια κλικ, ο Α. Κ. Γούναρης εστιάζει πλέον τη θεματολογία του στην ανάδειξη της φόρμας και της λεπτομέρειας αλλά και στη σχέση του ανθρώπου με το φυσικό του περιβάλλον.
Α few words on the artist
Avraam C. Gounaris (acg) was born in Thessaloniki in 1969. He started capturing images with his father’s Nikon F2A Photomic when he was 11 years old and he never stopped.
Between 1985 and 1991 he lived on the West Coast of the U.S. where he studied Business Administration and Finance. During that time, he had the opportunity to attend several photography seminars both in California and Nevada. His photographic training continued in Athens, where he has lived since 1998, through seminars at the Photographic Circle.
Through much reading and observation and after millions of clicks, he is now focused thematically on bringing out forms and details of things around him, as well as the relation of man with his natural surroundings.

Αντικείμενα. Φωτογραφίες που δεν έχουν πατρίδα και ημερομηνία. Υφή, χρώμα, φως, γεωμετρικές φόρμες και λεπτομέρειες. Αντικείμενα που μας περιβάλλουν, καμπύλες κι ευθείες που περνούν συνήθως απαρατήρητες, καθώς άγγιξαν για πρώτη φορά τα οπτικά μας νεύρα πολλά χρόνια πριν. Αναζήτηση της γεωμετρίας, των γραμμών, της συμμετρίας, μέσα από τη διττή ματιά του τεχνοκράτη - καλλιτέχνη.
A few words on his work
Objects. Images that have neither home nor date. Texture, color, light, geometric forms and details. Objects that surround us, curves and straight lines that usually go unnoticed, since they first touched our optic nerves many years ago. A quest for geometry, lines, symmetry, through the dual view of the technocrat and artist.
